This album is a collection of highly interesting, virtuoso 19th-century piano transcriptions by composers such as Hummel, Liszt, Raff, Thalberg and Smith. These transcriptions are based on well-known and popular musical themes from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Bellini, Wagner and Bizet.
