Philippe Mathis – Prize winner composer of the  Composition competition « The contemporary piano 2019 » for the music composition « Dimensions 1 ».

The competition is open to composers of all ages and nationalities and selection criteria are musical and no extra-musical parameters such as gender, level of difficulty, nationality and age quotas etc will be taken into account.

The quality of the text is examined by the jury. Unpublished works & worksworks (Modern compositions for piano solo or piano 4 hands, duration 3 to 5 minutes) that have been performed previously and won competitions in the past may be submitted.

Piano solo

Dimensions no. 1 – “The ugly duckling” (Toccatina) : Dimensions is a work for contemporary piano on several tonality and the vibrations of the Universe. The Universe contain ten dimensions and the number 1 corresponds at the chaos. Undefinable, impalpable, ineffable.

About an Art Artistry : AN ART ARTISTRY is a private Cultural Centre and a company that provides cultural activities and artistic productions services. It host activities of people who grapple with culture and art, creating the conditions to promote artistic creation and to provide opportunities for expression where they are needed. Particular attention is being given, to create and to give opportunities to young artists (first and foremost in mind), visual artists, painters, musicians, singers, poets, writers, actors, etc. and to promote their products.

Philippe Mathis initially worked as a pianist in Paris and for a renowned agency in Geneva. For ten years, he played jazz and international music across Europe, Monaco, and Asia. Even after leaving the music business, he continued to compose. His goal is to create music for piano that pianists enjoy performing.
